Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies and testing frameworks.
• Develop test plans, test cases, testing schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Estimate testing efforts and project timelines.
• Establish testing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ensure adequate test coverage for functional and non-functional requirements.

Test Execution & Defect Management

• Oversee execution of manual and automated testing activities.
• Monitor defect lifecycle management from identification to closure.
• Ensure critical defects are prioritized and resolved efficiently.
• Validate software releases against business and technical requirements.
• Review test results and provide go/no-go recommendations.

Test Automation

• Lead automation testing initiatives to improve testing efficiency.
• Establish automation frameworks and test architecture standards.
• Identify opportunities to increase automated test coverage.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor automation effectiveness and maintenance activities.

Quality Process Improvement

• Continuously improve QA processes and testing methodologies.
• Implement shift-left testing and quality engineering practices.
• Analyze testing metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
• Promote continuous improvement across software delivery teams.

Agile & DevOps Collaboration

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
• Ensure quality gates are integrated into deployment pipelines.
• Support release planning and production readiness assessments.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and customers.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations regarding product quality and release readiness.
• Support audit and compliance activities where applicable.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain QA processes, test documentation, and standards.
• Prepare and present quality reports and dashboards.
• Document testing methodologies, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 2+ years of experience leading QA teams or testing projects.
• Proven experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Experience managing end-to-end testing activities for enterprise applications.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and quality engineering platforms.
• Experience working in large-scale distributed teams.
