HO - IT Vendor Management Specialist
IT Vendor Management Specialist is responsible for managing relationships with IT vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology products and services, optimizing vendor performance, controlling costs, and mitigating supplier-related risks. The role acts as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external technology providers to ensure IT services align with business objectives and contractual commitments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic IT vendors and service providers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor communications and escalations.
- Facilitate regular business reviews with vendors to evaluate performance and service delivery.
- Foster collaborative partnerships to support business and technology initiatives.
2. Vendor Selection and Onboarding
- Support the evaluation, selection, and onboarding of IT vendors and suppliers.
- Conduct due diligence and vendor assessments, including technical, financial, and security evaluations.
- Coordinate vendor setup processes and ensure compliance with internal policies.
3. Contract and SLA Management
- Review, negotiate, and manage IT vendor contracts, statements of work (SOWs), and service agreements.
- Monitor contract compliance, renewal timelines, and pricing structures.
- Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are clearly defined and achieved.
- Coordinate with Legal and Procurement teams on contract-related matters.
4. Vendor Performance Management
- Develop and maintain vendor scorecards and performance dashboards.
- Monitor service quality, issue resolution, availability, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans with vendors.
- Track vendor compliance with contractual obligations and service commitments.
5. Risk and Compliance Management
- Assess vendor-related operational, cybersecurity, regulatory, and financial risks.
- Support third-party risk management and vendor audit activities.
- Ensure vendors comply with security standards, data privacy regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain vendor risk and compliance documentation.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Applications, Procurement, Finance, and Business teams.
- Gather business requirements and ensure vendor services meet operational needs.
- Provide recommendations on vendor strategy and sourcing decisions.
- Support IT projects involving external vendors and managed service providers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT Vendor Management, Procurement, Technology Sourcing, IT Operations, or Supplier Management.
- Experience managing IT service providers, software vendors, cloud providers, and outsourcing partners.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, software licensing, and managed services.
- Experience with contract negotiation and SLA management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and vendor management tools.
