IT - Project Manager
IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering technology projects that support the bank‘s strategic objectives. The role oversees project execution across multiple technology initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and organizational policies.
The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies to implement digital banking, core banking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end IT project management activities from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor and report project progress to senior management and steering committees.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with business units, operations, compliance, risk, and technology teams.
- Manage communication among project stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Facilitate workshops, project meetings, and status reviews.
- Resolve project issues and escalate risks when necessary.
Banking Technology Project Management
- Manage implementation and enhancement of:
- Core Banking Systems
- Digital Banking Platforms
- Mobile Banking Applications
- Internet Banking Solutions
- Payment Systems
- Loan Origination Systems
- Treasury Systems
- CRM Platforms
- Data Warehousing and Analytics Solutions
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and information security requirements.
- Coordinate with Risk, Audit, and Compliance teams.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure adherence to internal governance and control frameworks.
Vendor & Resource Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and system integrators.
- Evaluate vendor performance and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to achieve project objectives.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies.
- Oversee testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Verify that project deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor‘s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Master‘s degree is an advantage.
Experience
- At least 5 years of IT project management experience.
- 3+ years managing banking or financial services technology projects.
- Experience delivering enterprise-level technology implementations.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
Certifications (Preferred)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
